Its unique Belgian yeast forms the bedrock of LaGrave’s complex flavors. A full head releases aromas of crusty bread and earthy spices. The mouthfeel is well-rounded, and flavors include ripe pear, straw and black pepper. The finish is semi-dry, champagne-like. LaGrave is bottle-conditioned and highly carbonated. The name Tröegs is a combination of a nickname derived from the surname Trogner and the Dutch word \u003ci\u003ekroeg\u003c\/i\u003e (“pub”). Production is focused on specialty and seasonal beers.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eTröegs began construction of a new brewery in 2010 and moved from Harrisburg to Hershey in Fall 2011. At approximately 90,000 square feet, the new brewery is about three times the size of the original facility and includes a tap house (tasting room) with a full view of the brewhouse.
