E.Z. Orchards Willamette Valley Dry Cidre 2011

This dry cider comes from E.Z. Orchards in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, a place K&L customers might better know for its fabulous Pinots. At E.Z. Orchards they grow a selection of French, English and early American apple varieties that they blend together to create a balanced cider in the French tradition. It smells like fall, with a gentle effervescence on the palate, and is full and round, but not sweet. It pairs perfectly with food, particularly nuts and cheeses, but it’s also a nice complement to savory dishes as well.
