Brewery Information:

Brewery Ommegang was founded in 1997 in Cooperstown, New York, by the Belgian brewing company Duvel Moortgat. The brewery was established with a focus on creating Belgian-inspired ales and using Belgian brewing traditions, with the goal of introducing more complex, flavorful beers to the American craft beer market. Ommegang has become well-known for its unique blend of Belgian brewing techniques and American innovation, producing a wide range of highly regarded and award-winning beers.

The brewery’s name, Ommegang, is derived from an old Dutch term meaning “around the corner” or “around the bend,” referencing the company’s heritage and the surrounding countryside of Cooperstown, which is rich in history and natural beauty.
